Mouna Abed was born in Menton (south of France)in 1980.She lived in many countries as Irak,  Jordanie, Spain before settling to Montreal.

A painter, sculptor and multidisciplinary artist, she obtained a bachelor in visual arts from l'Université du Québec à Montréal. In the summer of 2006, she did a three month printmaking residency at the Martha Street Studio in Winnipeg.

It is through printmaking, principally monotypes, that she creates rhythmic and contrasted work, making matter vibrate. The rich and coloured textures on a vaporous background allow the viewer to travel through abstract landscapes.
