Chloé, a signature identifying the work of two artists depicting the historical and distinctive face of Montreal. Two different points of view combine: Alain Costaz, of European background, is an adoptive Montrealer and Victoria Edgar is a native to the city. Both these artists studied in Montreal and bring together the skills of etching and drawing in this series of original prints.

The images of Chloé are developed by extensive research and close  observation; through long, quiet walks in the neighbourhoods of Montreal, the artists note and record the different flavours of the places they visit. The subjects range from important and historical landmarks, to the intricate details of a stairway or wrought-iron fence. Their appeal is universal and their work can be seen in many countries, on all continents.

Special purchases and commissions of their work have been made by the Quebec Ministry of Tourism, the City of Montreal, the Université de Montréal, private companies, consulates and schools. Individual prints are popular with visitors to the city and as well to Montrealers who enjoy seeing their daily surroundings in artistic print.
