After exploring painting and drawing for many years, Lucie Jolicoeur Côté discovered the stimulating technique of etching in the early 1990’s. She developed a strong interest for this technique at the Saidye Bronfman center with her teacher Roslyn Swartzman. In 1992, she did a residency in etching at the Accademia Raffaëllo in Urbino, Italy. Since 1991, Jolicoeur Côté is an active member of the Conseil québécois de l’Estampe and is working at the Atelier Circulaire of Montreal. Her work is present in numerous public and private collections such as the Bibliothèque nationale du Québec, Loto-Québec, Hydro-Québec, Banque de Montréal, Gaz Métropolitain and Ernst & Young.
