Ann McCALL - Biography

Born in Toronto in 1941, Ann McCall lived in Pennsylvania and Ouganda before she settled in Montreal in 1974. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in art history from McGill University and a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from Concordia University. She uses various media, including painting, drawing, silkscreen printing and collagraphy.
Since 1975, she has had close to 50 solo exhibitions and has taken part in over 200 international print exhibitions in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia. Ann McCall is a member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts since 1981 and a recipient of several awards. Her works are included in many private, corporate and public collections. She is a member of the Conseil québécois de l’estampe, the Print Consortium in Missouri and the Boston Printmakers. She also teaches silkscreen printing at the Saidye Bronfman Centre’s School of Fine Arts since 1993.
